It seems everyone has a different definition of pedagogy and most are very passionate about the words they designate to encompass its meaning. I choose to simply define it as the art and science of teaching.  These few words contain mounds of information but leave room for the teacher to use his or her judgments and interpretations to guide the practice of the teaching.

 

In this section I discuss life within the classroom including management techniques, the role of technology and the overall environment of the classroom. I also include sections describing the role of the teacher in the classroom such as lesson planning, how I liken myself to the metaphor of an archeologist and my dedication to using differentiated instruction. I close this section with a sample of my student teaching of a high school chemistry class.
